My heart rejoiced this morning when I received a package from my good friend in Vietnam. I worked with her in a quilting program that she started when I first went to Vietnam. Now, she is back and has started the quilting program again. This program helps street and handicapped teens by teaching them the skill of quilting so that they are able to get a job and dont have to live on the street anymore. My friend also teaches the girls English. This too is an invaluable skill. I am in contact with her regularly. Today, I received the 20 hand towels that I had ordered, and the girls made David the cutest quilt I have ever seen! Some of the girls I use to work with still work with her, but now there are many new girls too. Tender Quilt produces so much fruit!!!
If you are interested in hearing more about Tender Quilt or would like to buy any quilts or products made by the girls, please email me at shaneandmarlana@hotmail.com. Everything you buy goes to support these girls. Please be on your knees for this program and for all of these girls!

Those towels look so great. And the quilt is adorable. All that applique. They do an amazing job. I love Emma's quilt that they made. congrats on your big sleeper too!! =)
I know when you received that package it brought back memories. I can't believe David is holding himself up and sleeping as good as he is. The boys look so cute--even Shane!!! Of course, Shane could use a shave (Ha) but I know he's relaxing with his family. Keep making those memories... We love you guys.

It's great to hear that the quilting ministry has started up again. Maybe once this little babe of mine is born and we find out the gender, we might order a baby quilt? I'd love to support them. And the one they made for David is gorgeous!
Feel blessed with that sleeper of yours........ I haven't had one yet!
