We've tried everything!

At first, I was against using the dummy (pacifier). I didnt want Dave to have one because it was so hard taking it away from Noah. Dave has never liked the dummy. He will take it once in awhile, but he has never been very keen on it. Since Dave was born, he has wanted to suck his hands. Shane use to have to hold his hands away from his face so that I could feed him! A few weeks ago, I noticed that Dave was sucking on his fist. Then one day, I looked over and he was sucking his thumb. Panic! I dont like the dummy, but I REALLY dont like the thumb. So we have tried every dummy in Australia and Dave still does not like it. So this is a picture of all the dummies that we have tried. He isnt really sucking his thumb, but sometimes he tries to. I'm trying to prevent it, but to tell you the truth...I'm tired. I cant watch him every moment of the day and make sure he isnt doing it. I try to keep gloves on his hands so that he cant get to his thumb, but I dont want to do that all the time. I've decided that I will try to keep him from sucking his thumb, but I'm definately not going to stress over it or try to work my life around it. There are so many more important things than this.
